How to contribute

There are three ways to help out:

#1.  Donate – either a basket or the money to buy a basket

#2.  Spread the word – please tell your friends, family and coworkers about the Brigade and nudge them to contribute

#3.  Volunteer – help us receive and distribute the deliveries that we get.  We need these people on the day of the Brigade (in 2009 that is November 22nd, a Sunday) email janice@dcbasktbrigade.org for more on that.

2 Ways To Donate:

#1.  Create your own basket:

What to put in the basket:

*the basket - laundry basket work great

*frozen turkey or ham

*gravy

*stuffing

*potatoes

*sweat potatoes

*rolls

*cranberry sauce

*veggies

*dessert

*etc... the point is to include everything that you think a family would

need for a great T-day meal (If you are a vegetarian, good for you.  But,

this is probably not the time to make your point by substituting a

Tofurkey for a turkey.)

When and where to bring it:

*The lobby of the Berkly House apartment building

*Corner of 17th & P st., NW (1425 Pst., NW)

*Between 11am and 4pm on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

#2.  Make a donation

If you are too busy or you will be out of town, we can do the shopping for you!

$40 buys a basket for an entire family.
